As the question rhetorically asks, why would a country who took
centuries to build magnificent cathedrals turn around and burn
them? The answer in not that Spain is an exception.
The same thing happened in the defender of Catholicism, France, during the French Revolution in 1789 AD.
The same happened in devoutly Russian Orthodox Russia in 1917 AD.
The same happened in Spain's pearl in the Caribbean, Cuba in 1960 AD.
The same is happening in Venezuela today.
The underlying theme is Jewish-inspired, hence Christian-hating, socialism.
Spain in 1936 had been mildly socialist since the start of the Great
Depression in 1929 AD. There was a slight balance toward the socialist
side which was opposed from draconian action by traditional Spain.
Still, they managed to shutter all Catholic schools and replace them
with government schools as they burned a church here or there.
In 1936 AD, Spain headed sharply leftward, marking the beginning of
major church burnings, priests and nuns being killed. Finally having
enough, the army began their coup against this unbridled godless and
hateful government.
Socialism is always atheist. In fact, it has to be.
Socialism is about stealing the work and sweat of others, which Christian morality strictly forbids.
Both of these factors tend to attract Jews.

As we have just stated, Catholic schools were forced to closed by the
government and replaced by atheist government schools. Catholic lands
were confiscated by the government. Churches were looted and burned.
Priests and nuns were killed and raped.
Yes, Spain had a democratic country at the beginning of the Spanish
Civil War, but it was nominally ran much as our own is ran --- that is,
not in the best interests of its citizens. Obviously!!!
In America, we are told that majority-rule only works if the majority decides to let the minority-rule.
In Spain, this never happened. The conservative Christian minority was violently and horrendously trampled by the majority.
Justice demanded that conservative Christians revolt, causing the Spanish Civil War.
And the revolting Christians were pummeled in the Judeo-International
press for fighting against a wondrous "Democracy". They were
called Fascists, especially after they were forced ask the Fascists of
Germany and Italy for help against the International JEWISH Brigade
amassing against them.
How could
absolute government-hating anarchists
team up with
absolute government-loving communists?
Fact is that they are a tag team.
The
anarchists bring the Christian government into war with its own
Christian people, by torching government buildings while Christians
were in the majority, provoking the government to defend itself,
thereby allowing Judeo-MSM word smiths to depict them as cruel and
heartless, all as the communists were awaiting in the wings to be
the replacement government in the following election.
Again, Jews are the leaders of both.
As famous Jewish anarchists, such as Jews like John Wilkes Booth, who
assassinated
President Abraham Lincoln, to the Jewish anarchists who assassinated
his
contemporary Christian leader, Tsar Alexander the Liberator. Both
great leaders had freed their Christian people, only to pay the
ultimate
sacrifice at the hands of slave-loving Jews. Jewish Anarchists are the
front shock troops bringing about revolution.
And of course, Jews are the architects and masterminds behind communism
as well as its gateway drugs, socialism and progressivism.
How could
absolute Christian-hating Muslims
fight the main battles to defend
Christian Spain from utter destruction?
That is a much harder question.
Besides being given the right to kill as many kafir as they could
handle....and getting graciously thanked for it...this site still does not know
why Muslims sided with Franco.
Perhaps Franco made a bargain to give them self rule if they helped him
succeed, but I'm sure the socialist government would have done much
more for them against Christians.
We'll let this remain a mystery.

It is certainly not news that Jews do not want to bleed and die for atheist socialists who were born and baptized Christian.
However, I could see them wanting to reinstate the self described
Jewish Golden Age where the Sephardi Jews ran Spain for the Muslims for
800 years, this time with Atheist anti-Christians.
When the Muslims invaded around 700 AD, they found the Jews in the city giving them outstanding Fifth Column support.
The Muslims were so impressed, that after they slaughtered all the
young Christian men and sexually enslaved the best of the Christian
girls, the Muslims left the Jews securely in charge of the newly
captured town, as they set off in plunder against the next Christian
town.
What Jew would not wax nostalgia for such blissful days? And revenge is so sweet.
