How can Hollywood be the only viable U.S. industry left, when they rehash the same old depressing story 252 times and counting? At least James Bond and The Mummy are fun!

I have never given much thought to the number of movies made with The Holocaust as a theme. Helpfully, the press notes for The Reader quote director Stephen Daldry as saying there have been 252.
Think about it. With everything about Hitler and the Holocaust, Hollywood can clearly be seen to have a serious obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Right now there are Five Holocaust related movies in the theaters:

Released Nov. 14, 2008 -- The Boy in the Striped Pajamas -- Jewish boy in Holocaust camp
Released Dec. 11, 2008 -- Good -- German whose Jewish friends warn of Hitler, becomes Nazi and sees friend in Holocaust camp
Released Dec. 25, 2008 -- Valkyrie -- A "Kill Hitler" Jewish Fantasy -- Tom Cruise character sorrows over Holocaust
Released Jan. 09, 2009 -- The Reader -- Girl who helped kill Jews in the Holocaust
Released Jan. 16, 2009 -- Defiance -- Jewish boys who fight Hitler rather than go to Holocaust

Enough already! America needs more uplifting movies like Mama Mia.

All this self-serving Jewish Propaganda from the Jewish media-Scribe Hollywood set is stretching a little thin.

I guess if you own the median, then you can do anything you want.
